BioBorn and raised in a small town in Southeast Texas, Matthew Finch is a seventh generation Texan and a son of a rancher and former school teacher. After graduating high school, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Spanish Minor from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He moved to San Antonio, Texas for law school in 1996 and received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1999, graduating in the Top 25% of his class. In November 1999, he was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He is also licensed in the Federal Court for the Western District of Texas.
He is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Real Estate and Trust Section of the Texas Bar, the San Antonio Bar Association (SABA), the Elder Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association where he has served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair, and President, the San Antonio Estate Planners Council, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (SACDLA), the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA), the Council of Parents Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), and is a founding board member of the Texas Organization of Parents Attorneys and Advocates (TOPAA). His civic memberships include the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, and The Fiesta Commission of San Antonio. Matthew and his wife, Melissa and their daughter reside in San Antonio. |
